Perfect Job

Perfect job, sounds good right? That is something that most of us think that is really hard to have a “Perfect job”. I started to work for less than 3 years now. I worked as a customer service representative for almost 2 years. When I was a customer service representative, I actually thought that it’s an easy job and I was wrong. On my first few weeks assisting customer’s I felt that I want to resign and just watch my favorite TV series at home. Just imagine your clients asking you to do something that’s way beyond your control or I mean your capability. And if you try to reason out why you can’t do that, they’ll say that we’ve been your company’s client for along time and you won’t help me. Then you know the next thing they’ll do, they’ll ask for your supervisor or manager. Come to think of it I survived that job for almost 2 years. After the first 2 months, I am all OK now. I can assist my clients without the fear of them scolding me or anything. I even got an award for the “Top Performer of the Quarter” which I am really proud of. That is my first award received in my entire career. After receiving that award, I thought that all my hard work has been paid off. Thinking about it makes me wonder, I realized that this job makes me who I am today. I’ve learned a lot from it and I’ve improved myself. I was able to show everyone that I am capable of what I am doing. Then after almost 2 years, last year I was accepted as a Quality Analyst. This is a different position, new challenges, and new work environment. Then again, I tried to back track what happened to me and it made me smile. I never thought that I’d love what I am doing right now and I never thought that this will be almost like a “perfect job” for me. I think having a perfect job is not impossible it’s all about enjoying your job and learning to love it.

Media Fed

Are you a media fed baby before? I guess most of us are. Because I am a media fed baby. What I am trying to say is I like to watch TV all the time when I was a kid until now. I got all my ideas from TV when I was a kid and I feel that TV is my sister which I always look up to. When I was in high school, I wished that my name was Joey because I love to watch Dawson’s Creek. And most of the time, I always thought that my life is the same as those teenagers that I watch in movies. But now, I’ve came to realize that those things that I always though that will happen to me before is not possible. Come to think of it our lives is not scripted, we cannot say that we want this because we don’t like the other. We can’t erase what we have done before so what we should do is to face the present and try to make it right. But anyway, I always thought that those times are good at least because I’d had an idea on what life I want and what can I do to make it right. Media serves as a guide for me because it gives me an idea on what I want in life.

Credit Card Spending Tips

I currently have 3 credit cards that I maintain. I had an issue with one of my cards before and believe me you don’t want this to happen to you anymore. Each day someone from the credit card company will call you and they’ll ask you to pay your debt. And it’s really irritating. If I have the money to pay for everything, I will gladly pay them off. Unfortunately, I don’t so I have to pay the consequences. There are lots of things I’ve learned from that experience. I learned that credit cards are not always good to use and you need to manage your money every time. Number one tip that I can give you is to treat your credit card as cash. What I mean is, don’t use your card if you are not sure if you can pay it within a month or 2. This is to avoid paying interest because if you failed to pay it off completely after you received your statement you’ll be paying the interest that your credit card company will charge you. Second, try to check for promos like a no interest promos. This way you’ll avoid paying interest plus you can pay off your purchase within a couple of months based on the promo instructions. And lastly, if you can afford not to get a credit card and pay everything off in cash that is really great. Because you will definitely be avoiding the credit card issues and you’ll have a peaceful life because you don’t have to worry about bills that you need to settle.

Strange Isn't It?

When I was in high school I have a close friend whom I always hang out with. We’ve known each other since we were in grade school. I liked him a lot and I guess it’s because we were always together most of the time. But I never have the guts to tell him or show him how I feel. That is because I am afraid on how he will react if I’ll tell him that I like him. I want us to have the same relationship that we have that’s why I remained silent. However, when the time where we were in college we never get the chance to hang out anymore. Later, I found out that she had a girlfriend already and I feel so sad about it. I had lots of questions in my mind that time. I asked myself, what if I told him how I feel about him and this thing should have never happen? Then I decided to move on with my life and right now I have someone who really cares about me. But sometimes, I still think of that person and this time I asked myself, do I want this? If I told him how I feel, will he be the one beside me right now? I guess that question will remain in my mind forever. Since I decided not to communicate with him anymore as if I we were never close before. Strange isn’t it? I never gave myself a chance to tell the only person I love how I feel about him. I guess that’s the mistake that I won’t forget as long as I guess I live.

Heath Ledger

I can’t believe at first that Heath Ledger had died. I remembered the first time I watched him is “10 Things I Hate About You” and he was so young on that movie. I started to watch his movies after that then his movie “A Knights Tale” became my favorite movie because I think it’s really good. Knowing that he passed away is really something that surprised me and then the same time I thought that it’s unfortunate that a good actor as like he is passed away early.

Oldest Valentine Card

Since it’s the month of love, a lot of us would like to have a Valentine treats such as flowers, cakes, and of course chocolates. I’m not a very romantic person but of course I believe in love because I do have a love one. I tried to look for the oldest valentine card and I found this. The oldest valentine card was made on 1790 and this is the most expensive valentine card ever. This Valentine card can be sold for £4,000 if sold. You can find this card at the British Postal Museum and they have no plans in selling this Valentine card. The writing on the card reads:

“My dear the Heart which you behold,Will break when you the same unfold,Even so my heart with lovesick pain,Sure wounded is and breaks in twain.”

Drink Water for a Good Health

Drinking water is good for all of us. Water is needed by your body to digest and absorb vitamins and nutrients. Fiber cannot complete proper digestion in your body without the help of water. Water is pure so there are no chemicals on it that will harm your health. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water will help you improve your body mentally and physically, it will keep your skin healthy, it reduce headaches, and improver your energy.

Water is also healthy for your heart. I’ve read that a study of more than 20,000 healthy men and women aged from 38 to 100. In, May 1, 2002 American Journal of Epidemiology found that all women who drank more than 5 glasses of water a day were 41% less likely to die from heart attack than those who drank less than 2 glasses of water. And lastly, water can help you loss weight because water is natural appetite suppressant healthy weight.

Turning to a Blogger

Last year, I saw on TV that you can earn money online. At first, my friends and I tried to great a blog and we even registered it to google. We’ve never got to continue our blog because we’re so excited that hey got disappointed when we only had $0.10 earning for a month. We stopped after that. And then last month, I tried to put up one myself. I named my blog “Michelle’s Entertainment Library” because I always watch Korean and Japanese dramas so I decided to write anything about Asian entertainment. I tried to read lots of stuffs about increasing my blog traffic but I think it all depends on your site content. On my blogs first week, its page impression is averaging at least 40-50 page impressions a day and I am already happy with that. Then I tried adding my site to some blog directories, and I’ve added it to Technorati, Digg and many more. Now, my blog is averaging 300 page impressions a day and I’m really glad about it. I just hope that I can improve my traffic and I’m still trying to check what I can do next. This is my new site “Mitchie’s Notebook”. I decided to put up this site because I want to write all the things that I want to write. I still maintain the other site, it’s just that the other blog is limited to entertainment only. While, with this one I can write whatever I want.

Viking: The Ultimate Obstacle Course

I’ve waited for this show since last month. It’s a game show and it resembles to a game show before called “Takeshi’s Castle”. The game is called “Vikings: The Ultimate Obstacle Course”. It was a really fun game where the contestants will have to go through many obstacles to be able to proceed to the next round. Last night they just started and only 2 of them were able to proceed to the next round. The obstacles in the first part are Oddysey it’s a rotating platform, loading dock this is where you need to catch a bag and bring it to the other side. The bag is about 7 kilos. Next stop is called Castaways, this is a zipline with a ball that the contestants needs to go through and leads to a cargo net. Then we have Math Parleys, this is where they test their mathematic skills. Then there’s the Island escape, Main Deck, Cannonballs Run, Swing Masts, and Captain’s Cabin. There are lots of obstacles left and this is going to be fun.

The Seeker (The Dark is Rising)

I always watch movies every weekend because it’s my rest day and I have nothing to do all day. I like movies a lot and I’ve watched “The Seeker” and it’s a movie that was out last year. I think the movie is fine but it’s not that great. I mean first, the story is so simple. For me a good movie must have a good story, and this one it’s so simple. But the visual effect is OK for me I think they did a good job on that one. I enjoyed the movie but it’s not as much as I enjoy other movies. I guess it’s so simple that you will be surprised that the movie is already over when you were expecting something else to happen but it doesn’t.
